A HISTORIC Village House in Gallipoli Peninsula
A Historic Village House in the Heart of the Gallipoli Peninsula
A charming, small village and a wonderful house with walls made from the region's beautiful and durable stones. The new owners of this historic house fell in love with Gallipoli and sought a place where they could spend all their holidays while also embracing the traces of history. This old stone building was exactly what they were looking for, located in the perfect spot. When they purchased the house, the interior walls were covered with plaster. However, the new owners wanted to bring the strong, nature-aligned stone texture of the exterior walls inside. They achieved this look with Stonewrap Masso decorative stone series in a sand color, which matched the original texture and tone. Since they wanted to stay here during winter, a large fireplace was added to the spacious living area on the upper floor. Additionally, with the addition of a balcony, you can feel surrounded by nature as you take in the expansive views from the upper floor. The entrance floor was also covered with Stonewrap Arles floor stone, further strengthening the structure of the stone building. On the side of the building, the old structure with a historic large jar was restored and transformed into a living space. Just like in the main building, the walls of this space were clad with our Masso culture stone, making it the most used indoor space during the summer.
