A SPLENDID Chalet in Tirol, Austria
Kitzbühel, located in the Tyrol state, Austria, is a small medieval town. When Bavaria Duke took control of Kitzbühel, he builded stone walls around the town to protect it. Thanks to these huge stone walls, the town stayed away from the conflicts of the region and the wars, therefore proved itself as the main market of the region. Walls were reduced to the level of a single-storey buildings in time, and these stones were used to build stone houses.
Stone has remained one of the main elements of the region’s architecture even until today. Stonewrap Masso stone veneer product, which has a rustic and chiseled texture, looks as if they were just hounded from the Austria Alps and installed on the stone walls of this cozy chalet. Anthracite color of the Masso stone, warm color of the woods used on the chalet and the green nature of the town makes an elegant harmony.
